Dear Curepipe Members and Friends,

Greetings from your 2010 National President.
I am very pleased to address you these few words on the occasion of this issue of JCI Curepipe Newsletter to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of your Local Organisation.

25 years of existence is indeed worth honouring. Throughout the years JCI Curepipe has provided many opportunities for young men and women to develop themselves and has produced quality leaders who have served JCI at local, national and international levels.

During the past 5 years, I have personally witnessed that one of the strengths of JCI Curepipe is the strong friendship that exists amongst the different chapter board members. This has enabled you to rise up to the challenges and contributed to the success of your organisation.

Having celebrated the past 25 years is great, but we must not forget that the most important years are those ahead. I am confident that each of you will continue the tradition of past JCI Curepipe officers and members in working with passion, taking actions to create proactive changes.

This year I will like to see more social responsibility and active citizenship within our different Local Organisations. So it is my hope that JCI Curepipe as well as our four other Chapters will run relevant Community Development projects that will create positive change in our society.

Lastly, thank you JCI Curepipe for your support and active participation in national projects and activities so far this year.

I seize this opportunity to wish 2010 Local President Prashant Lallah and his Local Board Members a very productive year.
