Dear JCI Curepipe Local President Satiam,
Dear 2021 JCI Curepipe Local Board Members,
Dear Members, Senators and Aspiring members,
Here we are already, and the year is almost finished. I firmly believe we delivered in what has been known as a year full of challenges. We should not forget that there was COVID-19 this year and despite the adversity, we have chosen actions over excuses. All I can say is that I am immensely proud of what you have accomplished, as a local president, as a board, as an organization and most importantly as active citizens.
I would like to congratulate JCI Curepipe for the support and for everything you have accomplished. We have made history once again by having one person in the top 10 outstanding persons of the world, and each time the performance of the organization never ceases to amaze me. You chose to not settle for mediocrity with continuous projects till the very end of the year and I believe you have created a tremendous impact through the various environment projects and the various blood drives organized across the island. Your accomplishments will definitely be spoken of in the incoming years.
We came into this year, with an objective; which is to impact lives and I believe we have done so.
So for one last time, I would like to quote 2010 JCI President Roland Kweiman;
‘’La ou la plupart des jeunes voient des difficultés,
les membres de la jeune chambre voient des opportunités.
La ou la plupart des jeunes voient des impossibilités,
les membres de la jeune la chambre voient les possibilités.
La ou les plupart des jeunes voient des problemes,
les membres de la jeune chambre voient des solutions.’’
I believe we did so, this year we turned difficulties into opportunities, impossibilities into possibilities and problems into solutions, because that is what I believe, being a JCI Member is all about.
Thank you… you have made me one proud president.
At your service, always,
Philip Chang-ko
2021 National President
