Message from JCI Quatre Bornes

Dear Readers,

Greetings from the City of Flowers.

I am Vaishalee Beedasy and I am honoured to write to you as the 2020 Local President of JCI Quatre Bornes.  Let me begin by sharing a bit more about our local organisation.  JCI Quatre Bornes was founded on 8 August 1988 by our founding members of JCI Port Louis.  Today, we are 29 members in the local organisation and we are excited to be part of the JCI Mauritius family.

2020 has been quite a roller coaster so far.  The outbreak of the COVID-19 took us all by surprise and made us all re-invent ourselves.  During this unusual situation, JCI Curepipe put much emphasis on engaging in dynamic conversations.  The topics for the various webinars hosted with twinning organisations enabled participants to better accept the changes linked the COVID-19 outbreak and also gave them practical ways on how to adapt to this situation and cotinue blooming.

I am sure that JCI Curepipe will continue to bring forward some exciting projects for the second half of the year.  On behalf of JCI Quatre Bornes, we look forward to collaborating with the JCI Curepipe team for more successful and impactful initiatives.
