Our member Karishma Ansaram recently moved to Edinburgh for her postgraduate studies at the University of Edinburgh. She had the opportunity to meet the Jaycees of Edinburgh during a social drinks evening.
2016 JCI Edinburgh’s President, Stuart Bradley, set the motto of “Invest In Yourself” and the organisation has been hosting lots of training sessions during the year. The main project of this year was the ‘’walk a mile in their shoes-heels and kilts’’ campaign calling all JCI Edinburgh men to do something that the ladies do all the time: Walk in high heels! The aim behind was to give support and raise money for a local Edinburgh charity, Edinburgh Women’s Aid.
Some training courses in the pipeline until December 2016 are the Debating Skills training, JCI Presenter training, Public Speaking training, JCI Impact and Achieve Courses. JCI Edinburgh organises a first Friday drink evening in a relaxed atmosphere where you can find out more of JCI Edinburgh and what they are all about. Meet some great people and have a few drinks.
