Do you take care of yourself? Are you conscious of your health? Many of us are getting old before our time. We do not take time to take care of ourselves. Your body is the only vehicle that carries you in the experiences that is called life. Health is valuable. You cannot feel well and do well if you do not have good health.

It can be hard to juggle with health and work in this fast-paced world. That is why JCI Curepipe is here to help you to take good care of yourself and make the most of life. In the context of the World Health Day and the 100th Anniversary of JCI, JCI Curepipe Health Campaign team is launching the project “100 tips for a better health”. Each day, a health tip will be posted on the JCI Curepipe Facebook page. The aim of this project is to encourage people to adopt a healthier lifestyle by doing simple things.

JCI Curepipe dedicated the first week of “100 tips for a better health” to exercise. Physical activity can have both immediate and long-term benefits. It helps to improve your health by reducing the risk of developing diseases like diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular diseases. Getting and staying fit can be a challenge. For many of us, it’s hard just to get up off the couch. JCI Curepipe shared 5 tips to encourage people to make the most out of their daily activities.

4  . Enjoy exercising

A lot of different things count as exercise: dancing, walking, gardening, yoga, cycling, playing basketball. Choose activities that are fun. Exercise doesn’t have to be a chore and the more fun it is, the more likely you are to stick to it.

5. Stay entertained

Music is a great motivator and can make exercise more fun. Mix your own CD’s with  your favorite music and take them along when you’re working out. Many people also like to watch TV or catch up on their soaps while on a treadmill.
