Themed “When Sherazade meets Desperado”, the JCI Curepipe’s LOM’s Night 2011 was held at Domaine Sam, with a view to celebrate the accomplishment and success of a hard working year as well as to reward members and aspiring members for their dedication and commitment throughout the year 2011. It was an exceptional evening to celebrate friendship, brotherhood and team work among the JCI Curepipe’s family.

The night started at 18.30 with a light cocktail as soon as the coaches, arranged by the team, brought the Sherazades and Desperados of the night to the Domaine. The MC couple, handsome Desperados Kiran and beautiful Sherazade Vidushi took the lead to host the event with their entertaining and amusing jokes throughout the night.

As the Desperados are always hungry and the Sherazad gets hungry too, a variety of starters comprising of Poulet Tambour, Hakien Poisson, Calamar fondant and croquette crevette amongst the others were served while a video presentation showing JCI Curepipe 2011 in pictures was being projected simultaneously. The dinner menu comprised of a delicious and mouth watering BBQ Buffet which was accompanied by an endless flow of drinks.

The theme ‘When Sherazade meets Desperado’ was a choice of the entire team so to blend the hot Mexican culture with the spicy oriental culture. As such a shisha corner was accommodated to enable our guest to “shishasssser” the different flavors that were available. Moreover, the Mexican culture was being represented by the décor of hats and cactus, along with the flow of tequila that most people drank. Best Member Award went to David and there were two best aspiring members for the year namely Darshini and Weenela. Moreover the best costume awards went to Emma and Vincent who are JCI Curepipe’s friends.

We had lots of fun and feel in the group through games, discussions as well as sharing with the other JCI members also.
