Dear Readers,
It is with immense pleasure that I address to you a few words as the Immediate Past President of JCI Curepipe.
The past year as President has probably been one of the most challenging of my life. I will be forever grateful to JCI Curepipe and its Members for entrusting me with this responsibility. It has been a memorable year, filled with unmatchable experiences and opportunities, and I wish to reiterate my thanks to all the members of JCI Curepipe and the 2011 JCI Curepipe Board Members who have made this possible. With the support of the 2011 board and members, I am pleased to say that we have achieved the objectives set in the beginning of 2011, which were concentrated on the membership growth and empowering our members through some high calibre projects.
Being the 2011 JCI Curepipe President, I had the opportunity to lead this marvellous organisation with all its admirable members. Nothing has been more gratifying for me than seeing the projects of the organization come to life with resounding success, or seeing the aspiring members swearing in after having spent time within the JCI Family. 2011 was one of the years where we dared to work on projects that would create a greater impact on the society as well as keeping the JCI Curepipe flag flying high and this has been realised with projects such as Men Against Violence (MAV) and the second edition of the Health Campaign “Take Care Lepep”. Throughout the year, I was also pleased to see that the strong bonding that was strengthening amongst members with time as we welcomed more new members.
It has been a great honour and pleasure serving you as your President last year, and I would like to congratulate the 2012 JCI Curepipe President Jacques David Commarmond as well as the 2012 JCI Curepipe Board Members and I am confident that under the leadership of Local President Jacques David Commarmond, JCI Curepipe will continue to reach greater heights. I would like to thank everyone for their support and commitment in 2011 and I will encourage all the members to participate actively in the year 2012 to create better impact.
Let us all work towards the betterment of our organisation and towards a better society.
Warm regards,
Arvind Neergheen
2012 JCI Curepipe Immediate Past President
