Beach Fun: Team-Building Event

The year started off with a team-building session organized to bring together members and aspiring members in a spirit of brotherhood and sharing. The venue was the Mont-Choisy with games on the beach, followed by a BBQ. The weather that day was perfect for a day-out…the troup assembled around 4pm at the beachside, looking for a perfect spot, but finally ended next to the football pitch at the Mont-Choisy beach. The most fun was the throwing/ catching of eggs as well as water games…and by the end of the afternoon, people were soaked with either eggs, sand, sea water, or a mixture of all these!!…It was a time to also relax and chill, and enjoy the moment…dinner started at around 8pm with the traditional BBQ and Vidushi’s home made salad and pasta.

This was a great way to kick-off the year with a huge boost…a moment to remember for a long time.

Catamaran TamTam

The Catamaran cruise was held on 29th May 2010. This was a one-of-a-kind project directed by Yudish Ramsaha. Transport logistics were organized to pick up people from various parts along the way to Grand-Baie, for finally arriving at sunset time at the Grand-Bay jetty. The rain however played nasty games on the beautiful weather and everyone were quite disappointed at the start especially because we did not venture too far off into the lagoon on the 2 catamarans reserved only for JCI Curepipe and friends…Little did we know that later during the night, the mood would lighten up and the fun would start…all our clothes were somewhat damp with the rain splashing left and right, but this did not prevent us from having fun and dancing the night away…the food was excellent, the company was great and the music was perfect. Yet another memorable JCI moment to capture…The pictures speak for themselves…

We had the pleasure of welcoming Senator Karen Smythe from Australia that evening. In the context of her stay in Mauritius, she also also organized the “JCI Admin” seminar, which saw the participation of some 4 JCI Curepipe members.

Yudish Ramsaha, tells us more about this project in his article “Sit back, relax and enjoy“.

The fun does not stop there….more PR projects are on their way, we have our LOM’s night coming up on December, get ready to be part of the fun one more time!!!
