Dear JCI Curepipe members,

Over the past 30 years JCI Curepipe has been in the limelight of various well-known and breathtaking projects. I sincerely hope that members of JCI Curepipe will keep the flag flying high with the same motivation and passion. Projects should be geared towards the needs of the community.

Members should realize that this organization is as relevant today as it was in the 1980’s and 1990’s. But we cannot be complacent. We must be vigilant and make sure that Junior Chamber International moves forward. As members of JCI, we should realize that we do change the world.

We are living in a world of change. With the world changing, evolving and growing over the next decades, JCI must adapt and evolve too. Our members and organization must move forward in a new direction with the same JCI Mission, JCI vision but new goals, new actions and new strategies.

During the last strategic planning held, JCI has set a target. The target is that in 2030, JCI will be the organization that unites all sectors of society to create sustainable impact. It’s not about numbers, it’s not about titles, and it’s not about money. It’s about IMPACT.

To create a strong foundation for this long term goal and propel us into the future, JCI will focus on 5 strategies. IMPACT, MOTIVATE, INVEST, COLLABOARATE, CONNECT

The first strategy is IMPACT. JCI will able communities to achieve sustainable impact.  Impact is change, Impact is action. Change for the future, action for society, impact for the better. Impact is created by engaged active citizens at all levels of society. IMPACT is a result of collective action.

The second strategy is MOTIVATE. JCI will create an environment in which people are motivated towards positive change. Motivate is empowerment, motivate is passion, empowerment for young people, passion for stronger communities.

The third strategy is INVEST. JCI will create a financial plan to invest in long term goals. Invest is support. Invest is responsibility. Support for advancing our goals, responsibility for financial stability. Invest in the ideas and efforts of active citizens. Invest in the dream to unite for a better world.

The fourth strategy is COLLABORATE. JCI will bring together like minded partners in order to extend mutual impact. Collaborate is to unite. Collaboration focused on sharing resources, expertise, knowledge, experience and power. Collaborate to engage like minded active citizens across all sectors of society.

The fifth and final strategy is CONNECT. JCI will connect people, their communities and the global society. Connect is link. Connect is network, link to share tools, network for stronger support. Connect people, communities and society. Connection leads to sharing ideas, actions and results.

These strategies will guide us on our journey to the future.. JCI will be the organization that unites all sectors of society to create sustainable impact. The time is now. Contribute to JCI’s great future.

We are all well aware of the challenges facing our world: poverty, hunger, disease, unemployment, conflict. It will take all sectors of society working together in collaboration; taking ownership for both the challenges and the solutions that will lead to sustainable impact. .

My wish is that JCI Curepipe keeps on creating impact in the future using these 5 strategies and hopefully the impact created by you will be for everyone to witness in the near future.
